Exactly. I do it a lot with Superman by Gunn. I've had extremely harsh things to say about it but I don't shame anyone who loved it, I like a lot about it, I just want people to expand their horizons and read the source material, is about all i could say negative.

BVS I actually enjoyed, I view it as a subversion of Dark Knight Returns, where a jaded, cynical Batman is forced to rethink his ways by Superman. Oh don't get me wrong the movie's Doomsday shit sucks & so does Luthor, but I do think the titular characters made it worthwhile for me.
