People who say things like "we achieved racial equality through MLK doing peaceful protests" tend to ignore three major facts:
1. We never achieved racial equality.

My father doesn't want universal healthcare because "then all the low lifes get in there and you'll never get an appointment."
The thing is his taxes already pay for the low lifes' health care. He's only hurting working class people. I got covered for neck surgery by saying I didn't have a job.
