As someone who has frequently defended free speech rights of sex workers and sex work advocates, it's completely unsurprising but nevertheless galling to be reminded once again how POWERFUL MEN talk fondly about sex work in private while demonizing it and pushing oppressive laws about it publicly.

I cannot overstate the impact Emmy Rossum's acting had on me truly Fiona Gallagher & Christine Daaé are 2 of the highest impact characters in film/tv in my life and they're such diametrically opposite roles!! I absolutely lose my mind every time I remember she's BOTH OF THEM

I am not a "tech critic". I am an antifascist, a feminist, an anticapitalist, an engineer. My criticism of tech flows from my politics and values. Not from a desire to save or destroy tech. Tech is an expression of power and that's what the whole conversation is about.

The fact that iPhone has a separate set of sounds for just their "wake-up/bedtime" alarms that you are only allowed to use once a day and for no other alarms is INSANE and classic Apple UX nonsense
