Depends on the individual doing the forgiving or not forgiving. When you’re dealing with many individuals, you’re going to have multiple instances of that determination being made at different points in time. It isn’t one person being inconsistent.

When you perform different actions, the description of your character based on those actions changes. Not sure what's difficult to understand there.

"What happened to Bob being praised as an upstanding citizen? He robs a bank and now suddenly he's a criminal?" You understand in this scenario, yes?
