This is one of the reasons why Memorandums of Understanding / Mutual Aid Agreements are SO fucking important in Emergency Management. Because of shit like this.
'Absolutely Insane': Trump Teases Killing FEMA While Touring Disaster Zones
"If we abolish federal funding for disaster assistance, municipalities and states wouldn't be able to cover these types of catastrophic emergencies and people would be left to fend on their own," one expert warned.

My body is rebellious, so today I'm taking a moment to breathe and geek out. My latest rabbit hole has been the manuscripts of the Duke de Berry. During his life, he had commissioned seven different manuscripts. This one is La Belle Heures, and was one of the early works of the Limbourg brothers.

The email address for federal workers to inform on their colleagues is DEIAtruth@opm.gov.

Would be a real shame if folks flooded that inbox, rendering it useless.

As expected, Trump’s first day in office brought chaos. Immigration, LGBTQ+ rights, and federal programs were all targeted in his first wave of executive orders—but not everything will stick. The Big Picture breaks it all down in this handy guide to Trump's most deplorable day one actions.

Just like he did with COVID, he has halted all public communications from the CDC and other federal health agencies.

During his first term, that meant NOT SAYING ANYTHING unless it was approved by him, which severely hindered health officials from doing their jobs. 🤬

This more than just prep meds. This is about any preventative care that doesn't align with the conservative viewpoint.

FYI Prep meds work by protecting Tcells, and have shown promise against covid and benifit immunocompromised people who have minimal t-cells. (Me)

Robinet d'estampes, brother to Isabelle, also was treasurer for the Duke de Berry! Words he wrote on Belles Heures survive!

It clearly inspired him to commission the one for his bride, Marguerite.

It also means that Isabelle (if surivived) could have had access to the duke's magnificent library.
