Lazy Sunday Vibes

Getting ready for Christmas in her christmas sweater.

There are moments between the chaos with huskies (she's a mix) where they just stare at you with devotion. It's probably just her planning the next round of shenanigans but I cherish it nonetheless.

The left baby was our malamute/wolf/husky mix. We lost her at 17 earlier this year and she was the most lovable striking pup.
Right is our baby husky-pitty mix and she's our sassy little love bug and basically a cat.

She doesnt like her joint supplement and is staring down the human who added it to her bowl.

It's just a baby. My sweet girl passed away this past spring but I just can't change it. She's still and forever my heart.

This song has meant a lot of things to me, but since the passing of my heart-dog, the one there through so much of my life (including my PhD), it's become my love song to her.

For every dog I rescue in my life, every patient I help, I'll point to the pictures and tell them your name.

Every year I feel uncomfortable when people wish me a happy mothers' day. I have a dog, & I care for her immensely, but I am not a mother. I don't wish to be a mother. It's my choice to be child-free.

I'm grateful for the thought, but it feels odd & forced & as though my choice is ignored.

Today's news was hard.
I told my parents this admin would target people like me, & they laughed & voted for this.

- ICE targeting scientists w/out due process.
- Planned autism registry

They still support him. It hurts.
