Software dev, writer, occasional miniature painter, and cat owner in Columbus, Ohio. If you see a Ratralsis on the internet, it's probably me. Name rhymes with "duh-pal-sis."
Fun fact: by the time I saw her, I'd already been waiting for about four months for the autographed poster I'd ordered from Streamily. I'm still waiting. It's now been over a year. I don't think Cristina's ever gonna get to it.

The follow-up.
He doesn't always (or even often) sit like this. I just think it's very funny when he does, and he's done it for many years.

This little bastard has no idea that he turns 16 this year.

My team of a large Flapdragon and large Serpent of the Scales managed 30 wins and 0 losses. But it was my second attempt for the day (my first was with a deliberately weaker team to try to get a prize I wanted), so I don't know what the prize would have been for sure. I think it's the same as 29/30.

I feel like I've kind of proven my point by getting this far, but it's annoying that the prize isn't as good as the one for winning 24/30.

My morning cup of instant decaf coffee, fresh outta the microwave.

Obviously I put the metal straw in last.

Like all cats, he moves when the sun moves. First picture is around 12:45 PM, second is around 3:15 and in the sunbeam of a different window. He's lucky that his newest cat tree is in the path as the sun sets.

He has three of that cat tree, in different rooms, because the top is big enough for him.

This week I decided to go back to a higher making temperature for my dozen cookies, but kept the shorter time. The goal was to get a darker brown and a crisper outside on them while keeping them soft inside. I think they turned out pretty well, but I've also never had any turn out, like, bad.

Today's dinner: 610-calorie Thanksgiving-inspired tortilla pizza.
Flour tortilla: 220cal
70g canned whole cranberry sauce: 110cal
Oregano
2 oz (56g) mozzarella: 180cal
2 oz (56g) sliced deli turkey: 100cal
Bake at 350F for 6-7 minutes in toaster oven on parchment paper. Let cool, fold in half, eat.

Made a pizza last night with a premade crust from Kroger's, a few spoonfuls of sauce, and 2 oz of mozzarella. It looks pathetic, but it folded in half like a calzone and went down pretty well anyway. Going to see if I can make more complicated pizzas in the future.

For this week's batch of cookies, I took them out 30 seconds earlier and left them sitting on the baking sheet until they were cool enough that I lifted them off barehanded. They definitely fully baked, brown on the bottom, and were a little chewier than last week's. Calling it a success for now.

My second batch of cookies in the toaster oven. I pulled them out after 10 minutes. The bottoms looked brown, but apparently I need to let them cool on the hot tray, even though that would've meant further burning them in this case, because they didn't have time to firm up before I scraped them off.

Perhaps less exciting to some, after I got back from GalaxyCon last night, I hadn't eaten since 10 AM, so I made this frozen pizza in my new toaster oven. It was, indeed, a lovely cheese pizza just for me. I stood at my counter and cut it with a pocket knife and ate the whole thing like a goblin.

I met Cristina Valenzuela (or Cristina Vee, if you prefer) at Galaxycon. She was kind enough to sign my Limited Run Shantae, although I said something stupid about how I listened to her "Bad Apple" cover in 2010 and now she's Donald Duck. She agreed that she's Donald Duck. This is true. Look it up.

They turned out okay, but, as I feared, a bit dried out from baking too long. They taste great, though, which is good when you consider I made 12 and am only eating 2 a day.

Still, for a first use (beyond the initial empty run the manual suggested), I'm pretty happy with it.

And if you think for a second that they aren't all Vamps, the best personality type, you don't know me at all.

Off I and three of my female OCs go on a big adventure.
Gotta pick Appearance B for every character because some equipment is locked to that choice, but none, as far as I can tell, is locked to Appearance A, or at least none that's as good.

I don't understand why he chooses one bed or the other, but since he keeps changing his mind, I just leave both near the heater.

These were taken on the same day, a few hours apart.

Can I prove beyond all doubt that a kid entered a pencil drawing of Marikiplier to their school's art show to be displayed at the 2024 Circleville, Ohio Pumpkin Festival? No, no I can't. But I also have to wonder how many teachers or administrators at the school noticed it. Probably more than zero!
