Queer Canadian Quaker. Former Montrealer living in Ottawa. No chill.

Prepping for Tuesday, because saving the world is unglamorous.

She/her.

I like my angels the way I like my coffee: COVERED IN BEEEEEEES!
My pleasure. Abdominal surgery is no fun at all!

I had abdominal surgery in October and my roommate lent me her hysterectomy pillow. It is *great* for protecting against marauding pets!

There's a not-insignificant percentage of these men who seem to have started out as halfway decent humans (Dr. Oz, for example) and then just jumped ship to become horrible little grifter gremlins.

Didn't RFK Jr. make his name in environmental law before he became an anti-vax loon? This tracks with his previous conservation work.

Colour-coded pill organizers, friend. They will save your bacon. ❤️

HOLY FUCK HURRAY! GOOD JOB, FRIEND! I am so happy for you! ❤️🎉🎇🌟

*crawls away to make a blanket fort in the living room*

We are in the worst timeline.

This is Octavia. She knows how beautiful she is.

Priests can’t discuss it no matter what, but yeah, medical professionals are held to a similar standard (as am I when I’m wearing my Third Party Neutral mediator hat).

I agree. Morally I wouldn’t hesitate to dissociate myself from my church if it meant I was preventing harm to a child. I do understand (sort of) why the seal is sacrosanct: fewer would confess if it meant risking their freedom, but I think it’s a price worth paying.
November 12, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Nope, the seal of the confessional is inviolable. A confessor cannot betray the penitent in any way, not even to save his own life or anyone else's. Code of Canon Law, 983.1.

You may be conflating it with patient confidentiality for therapists, psychologist and psychiatrists, perhaps?

I haven’t. Is it also an ink flow pen? My handwriting suffers a lot with ballpoint.
October 12, 2025 at 8:31 PM
The Pilot V5 is such a versatile little pen. I love them.
October 12, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Maybe? But the syntax doesn’t make that clear at all.

That's MANDY MOORE?!?

Why are they calling it "revolting?" It's inefficient and kind of weird, but I don't see what's revolting about it. It's just absurdist fun (I hope. Please don't be a milkshake duck.).

I am sad that I can't actually tell who we're talking about. So many people to choose from...

Is that Young Person Speak for being really high? I just know it in a musical context.
October 3, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Good luck! I will send knocked-up vibes your way!

Doctors are so weird sometimes. There are peer-reviewed articles about this!

Buproprion is often prescribed for anxiety, so it might just be a happy secondary effect! I'm sorry you had a bad day yesterday, though. :/

If you're close enough to the Canadian border, a lot of Canadian Tire stores had enormous dinosaur statues for sale this summer (IDK why, probably because they're cool) for less money than that. If you can't get the originals, that is.
