Every visit to Chicago is absolutely stunned at how uniquely gorgeous the downtown is! Nothing like it in the world.
I love NYC architecture and skyscrapers and natural beauty but Chicago is at a whole other level.
But you NEVER hear about this in the broader discourse. Just crime.

They cast a wider net to capture the blue cities. Downtown Chicago is one of the most beautiful cities in the US/world in terms of modern architecture and cleanliness. It has many art and related cultural institutes too. Of course, there are some areas of distress but not as portrayed by the media.
