Principal Lori Mercer also described the cohesiveness between Hovatter Elementary, Henrietta Lacks Primary, and Lightridge High as all 3 schools are conveniently located on the same campus.

Today's visit to Hovatter Elementary School will send me into the Thanksgiving holiday with tons of gratitude! Chief of Staff Marc Bergin and I were accompanied by 3 students who serve as ambassadors for the school.

Yesterday, the School Board voted to pass the tentative collective bargaining agreement between the Division and the Loudoun Education Association (LEA).

Yesterday, Tilly Thompson, a senior at Independence High School in the Little River District, served as Student School Board Representative at the School Board Meeting. She highlighted the commitment to service that she has developed, alongside her fellow Tigers, in her time at Independence.

Last night, Dr. Linda Deans (Broad Run) presented information to the rest of the Board about the Equity Committee. Her recommendation is to dissolve the committee as a School Board committee in favor of an administrative version of the Equity Committee.

The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) will meet tonight for the SEAC Resource Fair!
At yesterday's School Board Meeting, we received an update from the committee. One important point: only 57 of our schools have PTA/PTO representatives on this committee.
