Given our lack of other options? Yeah.

(Essentially I don't have faith that we have enough starters on the team now, nor do I have faith in the FO to find a quality starter given the failures of the past)

And that's why that scheduling idea will never work (among numerous other reasons).

Man I remember being so excited when the US was picked as a host country and Seattle seemed likely to get games. Now it's clear there was no point in that excitement. These games were never going to be for me.

Except there's a difference between playing 4 conference semifinal games on November 22nd and playing 15 midseason matches on November 22nd.

Oooh, I had forgotten about that one. The old NFC was so messed up.

The old AFC West was only slightly better with Seattle, Oakland/LA, San Diego, Denver, and KC across 3 time zones.

They said the first or third week of February, trying to avoid the second weekend (usually that's Super Bowl weekend)
November 12, 2025 at 8:35 PM
Signed, the old NFC East.

(To be fair, it was only 3.5 time zones, depending if it was before or after the end of DST int he fall)

Meh. The Shield has never (with the exception of 2(?) seasons) been balanced. Never really been an issue except with a small subset of fans who want to make it an issue.

Ok, I'm here for that

A night game in New England in the middle of February. Just what the fans have always wanted.

As if keeping the field clear for the 2 hours of game time are the only issue with this? How to fans get to the games during weather? Where do teams train in cold weather? "Play on the road" creates an imbalance for all teams that's not sustainable.

I'm done with MLS if they flip the schedule and end up breaking up Salt Lake and Colorado into different divisions (as some suggested formats on places like BigSoccer do).
November 12, 2025 at 7:52 PM
How do you not have weekday games at 7:30 though? And how do you not have weekday games given all the games MLS teams have to play in a season?
November 12, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Oh look, with the exception of Minnesota you just named 6 legacy/early expansion clubs that the league stopped caring about long ago to focus on the Miamis and LAFCs of the league...

They made it clear in the post-season presser they're going with the 2 DP (Navarro and Aaronson)/4 U21 model.
November 12, 2025 at 7:47 PM
I've been a Rapids season ticket holder for 18 seasons. I'm out if they flip the schedule. I'll buy 5 or 9 game packs that I can use for games where I'm not fighting sub-freezing temps but other than that, forget it.

I wouldn't want him as a DP, even if we were going to add a 3rd DP. We have bigger needs for a spot like that.

Gus Johnson has one of the great calls in Husky history (Isaiah Thomas's buzzer beater to beat Arizona in the 2011 Pac-10 championship) but beyond that I've never been a huge fan of his style.

Napoleonics, presumably

Two conflicts I have no interest in.

To be fair, with the exception of the Pacific Theater in WWII, my military history interest ends around the Civil War.
November 11, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Meh. I don't think the broadcast deal is the roadblock people are making it out to be. MLS has already fumbled the ball on using the World Cup to advance MLS, if they had done it right the Apple TV thing wouldn't be hard to overcome.
November 11, 2025 at 8:47 PM
I mean, a large part of the reason for realignment was how badly the conference bungled the Pac-12 Network rollout so...
