i don't know much about computers, but there will never be the year of the linux desktop. windows 11 (or "26") will get so bad that it is actually worse than linux, & macos is not exactly improving, but even so linux just sucks worse in many fundamental ux ways. eg. try to upgrade ha ha ha.
