Is it a bit too on-the-nose to point out that the current regime and capitalism as a whole both co-opt all concepts and materials they feel necessary for profit? Something like meta-commoditization?

My ex had (likely still holds) a wonderful idea about making elected officials retake and pass kindergarten to learn the values of ideas like sharing and nap time (given considering Congress is basically a nursing home at this point... probably don't need to re-establish nap time's value).
