I'm not trying to be an ass, or correct you :) I agree, just wondering why that doesn't apply to "impossible", for me. linguistics is weird.

linguistically, interesting :) this is bad to me as well, but "do the utterly impossible" is fine. "the realm of the possible" (adj as a mass noun) is also fine for me?
