Don't impeachment proceedings start in the House though? If so, Pelosi could have immediately convened the House, gotten the vote to proceed, and spent every day in front of a camera putting pressure on and blaming McConnell for preventing the impeachment moving forward. Offense not defense.
McConnell adjourned the senate for two weeks the next day. There was no slow walk and this idea that republicans could have been tricked into being good but we just decided not to is giving them an out they don’t deserve.

What an embarrassing and frustrating loss. Hope the team learns from this performance and uses it as both motivation and how to play smarter. We're young and need to experience and work through things like what happened tonight.

But, as always, Go Spurs Go.

Ugly ugly 3rd quarter for the Spurs. Zero interior defense and very limited resistance to Cleveland's drives. Offensively, there's practically zero ball movement and even less off ball player movement. Embarrassing effort all around coming out of halftime.

Spurs mostly playing hero ball so far tonight. So much 1v1 action and so little ball movement, especially side to side. When they do pass it, good things do happen. Gotta stop the live ball turnovers too

Great win tonight for the Spurs on the road in Denver without Wemby and Castle. Clutch playmaking by Vassell and Champagine down the stretch. Fox with some great leadership and passing. I liked the Bryant minutes where he guarded Jokic; great learning experience.

This is the last part of the thread, but I find the need to highlight this for is searing accuracy.
People who are non-white and non-male must be subject to particular scrutiny because their rise questions, implicitly, the legitimacy of the dominance of white men in the first place. Mistakes that would be treated as minor for white men must be amplified into proof of their illegitimacy.
