Worth discussing with providers familiar with TOS, especially if you have neck/shoulder issues or arm symptoms.

This is a newer addition to the CCI & Tethered Cord Syndrome stack of physical ailments that seem to cause #ME/CFS symptoms.

The game-changer? Simple home tests like the "Roos test" can help identify TOS. Unlike most #ME/CFS treatments, #TOS often responds to physical therapy, posture correction, or surgery.

This could mean actual mechanical fixes for some #LongCovid patients who've been told "there's no cure."

I hope there's some actual follow-through on this... 🙏

That was fast!
The @batemanhornecenter.bsky.social released this Clinical Care Guide for #ME/CFS, #LongCovid and Infection-Associated Cronic Conditions. This comprehensive 93-page document helps diagnose and manage these conditions.

Absolutely amazing work!

3️⃣ Tier 3 #MCAS treatments: For more severe cases

* Benzos (low dose) - may be hard to find someone to prescribe
* LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone)
* Hydroxyzine
*Omalizumab

If something doesn't work, try another med in the same class--No single approach fits all.

2️⃣ Tier 2 #MCAS treatments: Get doctor approval/prescriptions

* Cromolyn sodium
* Ketotifen
* Luteolin (or NeuroProtek, which combines Quercetin, Luteolin, and Rutin)
* Montelukast
* Low-dose aspirin (mind GI risks)

I've heard: "if I didn't eat JUST right, I felt awful", "I needed to keep to my exercise regimen or I felt physically & emotionally awful", etc. etc.

If you NEED to take care of your health to this degree or you tip over into feeling frankly sick, you have a chronic illness at the tipping point.

Just this week I managed to help a coworker get diagnosed with #POTS over Slack by using this test. This is after *years* of working with his healthcare providers with no answers. And it only takes about 12 minutes total.
