will & el both deserved better than mike.

pretty convincing.

mike staying closeted, in denial, makes sense.

things really couldnt have worked out with will - but i see the seeds now.

yeah, it was queerbaiting. it was also obviously "never in the cards" & came as no surprise that it didnt happen.

should it have? maybe. but tbh?

on point 1, see this thread:
Just about exactly 28 years ago, I was 17 and 2 weeks postpartum after giving birth to a baby relinquished to adoption.

I wasn't doing well

My dad and stepmom took me and my sister to Boston to see a musical for our Xmas gift

It was Miss Saigon

This is a thread about the Stranger Things finale

okay. annoyed about the non-ending all over again.
i like the thought of ending the way we began, with the party playing D&D, but that scene blatantly flew in the face of 2 critical devices.

1) for all that El's sacrifice was(imo) a damaging narrative, negating that outcome & having mike unable to

"accept her choice," per hopper's lecture, really cemented the duffers' lack of commitment to their own storytelling.

2) them choosing D&D over the party invite that crossed clique divides completely invalidated the core of dustin's speech.

it was, frankly, insulting, pathetic, & LAZY.

tangentially i wanna know what class max's character was. did she get to use a homebrew "zoomer" class, or was that just a title? 🤔

did like holly & her friends taking up the mantle though.

ALSO: the duffers making mike into a self insert was 1) creepy, but 2) funny af. no wonder he sucked so bad.
