For clarification.

"People pleasers" are those that supplant or outright sacrifice their own agency and desires for the comforts of others without significant resistance.

"Caregivers" are those that do for others actively, by choice, without sacrificing their agency but with enforced boundaries.

There are legitimate criticisms to be levied at the script and direction of these movies but I'd argue they are still fun, entertaining time capsules of superhero cinema with a great cast that captured the core of the characters (pun intended) fantastically. They're definitely worth a reappraisal.

But in their zeal and joy, they don't realize that they break me a little bit at the same time. He said it makes him sad to see it happen so much. Too often it feels like the cost of being human, but knowing that others can see it too?

(3/3) But if you spend the runtime salty about the Snyder-verse (which was killed by WB before James Gunn was involved), you're going to miss something wonderful.

So yeah, that's on you, while I got a Superman I can get behind in acting AND writing, and I want to see where DC Studios takes us next!

(2/3) I got to see a character that I didn't appreciate until I was an adult portrayed so accurately, it could stack up with Christopher Reeve's portrayal and I felt what you're supposed to when you see Superman... hope.

Now, here's the thing. Like a good TTRPG, you have to buy-in to the world.
