Happy 27th first listening day Beck’s Midnight Vultures - an album that hasn’t left
My rotation since I bough the CD and listened to it twice as I sat in traffic trying to get home from SF on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. One of the great party album, it sounds as fresh today as it did then.

I FINALLY got to hear The Breakfast Machine suite live in concert last week at SF Symphony! It was doubly satisfying as 15+ years ago I went on a date with their pops programming guy—he asked who I’d select to add to the season and when I said Elfman he said “who?” then pretty much ended the date. 🤷🏻

Someone posted recently about the price of concert tickets back of the day and was curious what I paid - and, of course i kept all my old ones.

What a time to be alive that was!

Maybe I didn’t read the fine print, but I had NO idea that Danny Elfman himself was a guest singer at the fantastic SF Symphony concert celebrating his collabs with Tim Burton. He sang all the Jack Skellington songs during the Nightmare/Christmas set and sounded GREAT! What a treat!

I feel the need to advocate for sugar free Jell-O. Made some earlier — quick jel style —with bananas, mandarin oranges, and pomegranates… and it was Michelin star x10.

There is so much to unpack in this ad that we’d need a two-day Oprah special to cover it all.

Well this was a pick me up this week! And I was at work so don’t judge my clothes while Ms. Baranski was the picture of taste and elegance (as always!). 😍😍

The neighbor’s WAY too bright new porch light shining through our kitchen blinds has transformed the hallway into a 40s film noir detective office seconds before a dame with a past walks in.

This is exactly what Veridian Dynamics from Better Off Ted would be rolling out—and they’d absolutely call it Superwood. And then run into every pun humanly possible.

Curious about thoughts on Kiss of the Spiderwoman. I thought it was an extraordinary adaptation. I lament the loss of some truly great songs / moments but the gained intimacy between M & V was almost overwhelming. Also, I’d forgotten that the B’Way souvenir program has some great content/articles!

Do you think David Warner—or any of the cast—understood what was going on when the filmed it?

Ok, who added Pac- Man to TRON and how have I never noticed before??

Watching the original TRON for the first time in a decade. It is SO crazy advanced in its ideology and vision of AI—and it’s also so ridiculous! And the streaming “print” is glorious!

Ummmm… regarding that third bullet point for the iOS Software Update… like, the lost ark of the covenant? Items from King Tuts’ tomb? The heart of the ocean???

Was I the only 11 year old who anxiously awaited the arrival of their Fall Preview issue of TV-Guide? I’d read it cover to cover like a new Sidney Sheldon novel.
