Reintroducing myself here with a few of my loves: first, bread baking, especially this Georgian bread that’s filled with about 2lbs of cheese that is then topped and mixed with egg yolks and butter right out of the oven.

Happy 27th first listening day Beck’s Midnight Vultures - an album that hasn’t left
My rotation since I bough the CD and listened to it twice as I sat in traffic trying to get home from SF on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. One of the great party album, it sounds as fresh today as it did then.

Y’all! Jimmy Kimmel’s interview with Kate Beckinsale is one of THE most bat-shit crazy interviews of the modern era. It was either a master class of improv or psychosis as storytelling. Will be remembered for years.

Someone posted recently about the price of concert tickets back of the day and was curious what I paid - and, of course i kept all my old ones.

What a time to be alive that was!

Maybe I didn’t read the fine print, but I had NO idea that Danny Elfman himself was a guest singer at the fantastic SF Symphony concert celebrating his collabs with Tim Burton. He sang all the Jack Skellington songs during the Nightmare/Christmas set and sounded GREAT! What a treat!

I feel the need to advocate for sugar free Jell-O. Made some earlier — quick jel style —with bananas, mandarin oranges, and pomegranates… and it was Michelin star x10.

There is so much to unpack in this ad that we’d need a two-day Oprah special to cover it all.

Well this was a pick me up this week! And I was at work so don’t judge my clothes while Ms. Baranski was the picture of taste and elegance (as always!). 😍😍

I just don’t know why everyone isn’t watching The Diplomat - it’s one of the true great joys of all things scripted entertainment - film or broadcast or streaming. It’s a must-see.

I worked an outdoor family Halloween event today - probably a good 3,000 folks of all ages. I really thought this was going to be the year of Elphaba and Glinda costumes - but I was wrong. K-Pop Demon Hunters were HUGE with the girls. Dinosaurs were big with the boys. Pixar was big with groups. 🤷🏻

The neighbor’s WAY too bright new porch light shining through our kitchen blinds has transformed the hallway into a 40s film noir detective office seconds before a dame with a past walks in.

This is exactly what Veridian Dynamics from Better Off Ted would be rolling out—and they’d absolutely call it Superwood. And then run into every pun humanly possible.

Curious about thoughts on Kiss of the Spiderwoman. I thought it was an extraordinary adaptation. I lament the loss of some truly great songs / moments but the gained intimacy between M & V was almost overwhelming. Also, I’d forgotten that the B’Way souvenir program has some great content/articles!

#TronAries is far more a direct sequel to the 80s original than i expected and I really enjoyed it! I kind of love how they completely disposed of Legacy canon with a brief two sentences from a news report in the first 2 minutes. And GO Greta Lee and Jodie Turner Smith - they made the film!
