Half remembered example: In Javascript, objects are defined using a "prototype" object. In forum answers, educational blogs, and even in official documentation, people use the word "prototype" to refer to at least 3 separate, but related, things. Often even within the same paragraph! It's bonkers!

The reason you can sometimes say "the crown" instead of "the king" is that most people already know what crowns and kings are. If you are teaching someone what "blork" "spalp" and "blorkicity" mean, they will take you at your word if you use them as apparent synonyms, and they will be very confused!

Who is the "us" in "our side"? It includes you, but not any people who are trans, and not anyone who believes in inalienable human rights. That's my side, and Newsom would be a loss for us. We're not going to welcome you stabbing us just because Trump wants to shoot us.

Also not helped by the fact that "C" was always the "first" note, I was busy trying not to screech with the recorder, and if the notes weren't alphabetical that honestly wouldn't even be in the top 10 dumbest things about western music notation. It's frankly a miracle that they are in order
