We enjoyed this movie - but I agree that the ending was a bit underwhelming. Between Maximus's death and the final scene with Juba, the first had a nice complete ending. The ending here just doesn't resonate.

I need to sit down and rewatch this - caught it back in the Netflix physical media days when I was catching up on past best picture winners - but I honestly don't remember much of it.

I always enjoy reading contrarian views on movies that have substance. I read a great review on Anora - not negative but someone that just merely liked and didn't love it - very insightful
