Was experimenting with the visual style of the game today. I tried placing characters in the scene, but the descriptions carry so much of the atmosphere, I wouldn't be able to animate against that. Decided to switch to a classic VN scenes. #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #fantastgame #visualnovel

I have an RPG project on the back burner, where I tried to marry TTRPG conventions with a cRPG. The big problem: How do you make failed checks feel worth it and not cause an instant load game response? Like if you're robbed of an outcome. That's my minor obsession #gamedev #crpg #indiegame

I have often heard people refer to biased attitudes or jokes based in stereotypes as "just a joke" or "you know I don't actually mean it".

Except there is research to suggest making jokes like this normalises biased behaviour and invites increasingly nasty behaviour. Please be kind. It helps.
