Not sure that I would have picked Lawson over Tsunoda if I was running Red Bull, but hey. Best of luck to the young Kiwi.
Also who fills the now vacant RB seat? Colapinto I would assume?

What a great finish to a great #F1 season! Still can't believe we had *seven* *multiple* race winners this season. And the constructors championship came down to the last race. Can't ask for much more than that. Looking forward to 2025 for many reasons - especially Lewis the Red!

As a nearby resident I can only apologise to the Walz’s for their unfortunate NY pizza choice. I mean Justino’s is *fine* but I almost never go there.

And big kudos for keeping religion out of politics.
Tim and Gwen Walz pick up post-debate slices at Justino's in Midtown. Reporters shout questions, which they try to ignore.

REPORTER: Would you all be willing to talk a little bit more about your religion?
TIM WALZ, to GWEN: We're Lutherans. We don't talk about religion.

Doohan confirmed as the second Alpine driver. So this makes potentially four Aussie drivers next year: Piastri, Ricciardo, Doohan and Bottas :)

Ad agencies really leaning hard on the “let’s laugh at the famous persons’ vocal idiosyncrasies with a very tenuous relation to the product” concept this year.

Getting ready to watch the Big Hand Egg Game.

Waiting for one of the teams being crowned “world” champion; it’s a joke that never gets old!

I’d prefer that both presidential candidates were younger and sharper, but I don’t buy “singularly uncomfortable.” We’ve had old, questionably physically and/or mentally fit presidents before. I kind of feel like one candidate being entirely lawless is more singular.
The special counsel’s report and President Biden’s performance at a last-minute news conference on Thursday night placed his age, the singularly uncomfortable subject looming over his re-election bid, back at the center of America’s political conversation. nyti.ms/3uvl4a4

Of course the real winner from Lewis' move to Ferarri is VCARB, now that no one is talking about their disastrous name change any more.

Great article from @drgitlin.bsky.social on the woes at Boeing.

So sad to see a once-great company fall so far so publicly. I sincerely hope they can turn their apparently broken corporate culture around.

I find this new "RB" confusing and infuriating. Like so many obnoxious rebrands before it, I shall be deadnaming them from now on. AlphaTauri it is.
