I'm nerdy about books, writing, words, cooking, science, nature, science-fiction, tabletop gaming, hiking, and fragrances. #ologite
Your nose is more sophisticated now. 😉 Although, I remember being disappointed with them after the first time I visited Europe and experienced Yves Rocher instead.

Yeah. I don't even bother going in anymore because I realize I'm just going to sniff 50 things and not really like any of them.

You know, I think the leathery absinthe dry down is really growing on me. So, I might keep this sample after all.

I'm not a fan of the opening, but it's at least interesting for dramatic effect.

I decided to try a few of my 10/10 rated fragrances I haven't tried for a while, and this was one. I think I'll be watching the restock, too, because it's nicer than I remember and I'm gonna need more than this sample.

Indeed. I could totally see a young adult falling in love with this without having scent associations with old ladies (who fell in love with these when they were young). My teen daughter hated it, but, then again, she only really likes gourmands: fruit, cupcakes, vanilla, chocolate, etc.

That's nice. My husband thinks practically everything smells like "somebody's great aunt." So, I just ignore it and assume his great aunts must have smelled marvelous. :p

I meant to say there's an antique WOOD note. Looking @ the actual ingredients, I think it's a combo of cedar, cypriol (like breathing cold air), clove, & patchouli.

This is really the only one of the gothic woodsy fragrances by Heretic that I really like. The others just don't hit right for me.

My husband hated it and said it smelled like an old lady. Pffth. Whatever. It's really beautiful. I guess I'll just wear it when I'm alone.

That's what I wore today. Always a winner.
