Everyone knows Doordash inflates menu prices to make more money, but how many people really stop to check how much? Here's a recent order I got in person at the drive through.

(both of these have buy one get one for $1 deals that are not honored by doordash)
Steak Egg Cheese Bagel 8.19 vs 6.29
Subtotal is 12.07 vs 18.15
Declared Delivery Fee is 2.99
Declared other fee is 3.00
Estimated Tax is 2.17 [I marked this as a 12% rate on the subtotal, but it's more likely it's a correct 9% rate on the subtotal plus fees.]

can someone who understands the win32 api please explain to me why the fuck WriteConsole uses a void pointer for the text [exact declaration is _In_ const VOID *lpBuffer, not even LPCVOID] instead of a 'normal' TCHAR pointer?

@vivaldi.com please allow me to set a threshold [even if it can only be 1] for how many tabs can be in a window to close it without confirmation. Right now I have to have it either on or off and (unlike firefox) if it's on it prompts for confirmation even for the tab close button on the last tab.

minor irritations with the bsky android app:
- panning around images has no "scroll inertia"
- images cannot be viewed in landscape mode
both of these combined make it annoying as hell to read a post that is a screenshot of a desktop website

So I looked into this further and discovered: there is a table for toupper/tolower, but only in bytes, but *the byte table is used for unicode characters below 256 for some ungodly reason*
(presumably the rest of the function is enough overhead that the optimization is still worth it)

just noticed that bsky tries to open the "new post" screen when i press ctrl-N. that's hilarious. do they really think there's any browser on the planet where that doesn't open a new window?
(just N does it too so i assume they're just not checking modifiers)
