It’s Black History Month! Day 26: we remember Hank Aaron, one of the best and most powerful baseball players in the history of the game. He broke racial barriers and stood up for equality. I ran into him in a hotel lobby in Mexico and he was a true gentleman.

It’s black history month! Day 24: Percy Lavon Julian, a chemist who specialized in synthesizing compounds from plants for important medical treatments. Without Julian, we wouldn’t have things like birth control, poison ivy treatments, treatments for arthritis.

I just finished this book, The Great White Bard by Farah Karim Cooper. While interesting and well researched, it felt repetitive. Nonetheless, I recommend it for an understanding of how Shakespeare addressed race in his plays and sonnets #shakespeare
