Very interesting, nice one! What was your interpretation of the 2nd dimension in GB? And I also wonder if it might also be good to include those who said DK/would not vote in wave 30, as there's a fair number of them and might be telling on one or more dimensions...

The number of full-time academic jobs outside the U.S. listed on JOE is down, and lower than during COVID. Could partly be due to increased formalization of European mkt and perhaps less use of JOE.

It's an interesting project for someone to look at the measurement properties of these different scales across different contexts (eg times and places) although perhaps World Values Study is the place to start with that

Short answer from someone not involved/affiliated with the ANES is:
I don't think these values scales are used much in the US, or indeed outside of the UK context - US tends to measure authoritarianism through the child-rearing scale IIRC.
