The worst possible scenarios in democracy are being revealed - corruption, oligarchy, debauchery, violence, racism, etc. to name a few. However, the optimism of human nature will figure out countermeasures to fight and prevent future sordidness. This is "what can go horribly wrong?" looks like.

One can't keep up with all these -gates. It feels like going through a maize 🌽 or a computer game which takes you to another level darkness and challenges. I wonder who holds the gate-keeping record "the greatest, like never before- undisputed" I can think of a strong contender down south actually.
