I observe this in my daughter (12), she still enjoys playing cozy games. However, Roblox has seen an increase in (harmless) horror games lately. :D

I've noticed that asynchronous loading works, but it's not implemented very nicely (no signaling). Freezless multi-thread instancing doesn't seem to exist in-build at all. I've found a great solution for this, but it would be good if it was supported by the engine.

Very cool! I like creating little helpers in Godot. 😸 Currently I use b/w pixel art and shaders with gradients to assign colors for each brightness level. This also allows you to create fun things like animated color changes. I save the gradients as a color scheme resource.
