21. They put their faith in a conman because they themselves are conmen who managed in the end to con themselves into believing that the consequences of their choices are for other people, not them.

The question is: why do the rest of us keep trusting them with our money?
Wall Street bankers are just like every other Trump supporter
And they are shocked by the consequences of their choices.
