TV weather forecasters (led by Jeff Beraradelli & Climate Central) organised the first event to use the warming stripes widely (June 21st 2018). Laura Tobin used them in the UK.

And, a Tesla in Minnesota was a striking early example of how the graphic can be used creatively to spark conversations.

The graphics were used at rock concerts (Enter Shikari), sports teams (Reading FC) and at London Fashion Week (Lucy Tammam).

Each time they have reached a different audience who would not normally talk about climate change.

True, but as a broad generalization it works. Many of these dyes have been linked to neurological problems, and while more study is required I'm all in favor of erring on the side of safety in exchange for losing some of the fluorescence of my fruit loops.

That's the goal! This company has claimed their goals include finding ways to help species currently on the verge of extinction, and to help sensitive species survive the impacts of climate change. It's good stuff, and cool science.
