And specifically I mean this bullheaded patriotism he has that is as revisionist of a MAGA claim as Trump's, frankly more so. Trump's MAGA can point to the times they want back, they were horrid evil times, but that's why they want them. Andrew's MAGA is a fantasy, America was never great it's evil

I agree Trump has intensified things in this moment, pointing xenophobia and hatred that W Bush pointed outward more broadly inward, using the tools Bush gave him, like ICE. I take issue with how little Andrew is willing to consider pictures beyond what he wants to see
