IndyPL just nearly doubled the # of Sundays worked with ~a month's notice, assuming everyone else's managers are telling them what's coming before it's announced. If the Union isn't on this, we don't deserve to have one. Here's hoping they've already ironed out their holiday party plans.

Every single social post about what's "going on" at the library assumes the problem is unhoused folks or addiction related. Those are parts of it...

But a lot of the rise in burnout for staff is coming from suburban housed people who are filled with entitlement and broken social norms.

There's a collector buying and re-selling queer & Latine zines against the creators' wishes. Do not buy zines from Libros Latino. If you sell zines to Alfonso Vijil, know that he may mark them up and resell them. 📚
