Quilt I finished today - ~73" x 97", pattern by Vanessa Goertzen for Lella Boutique. Most of the fabrics are from an out-of-print fabric collection (Flight by Janet Clare), but I found filler fabrics in my stash and at my local quilt shops. Background fabric is by Tim Holtz. #quilting
A pieced quilt with biplane blocks in reds, golds, russet brown, green, and tonal blues, with the planes oriented upward. Each block is a pairing of light and dark, with some blocks being the reverse of the other (e.g. the plane in one block is a paper airplane print block with a green background, another block is a green plane with a paper airplane print block). Back of quilt is a world map print fabric, oriented in the same direction as the front.

3/3: Last set, and yes, that is a flower crown cat. I had fun making these and playing with different fabrics. #quilting

2/3: More photos of the mermaid & pirate-ship quilts. I had fun playing with color, binding, and fabrics.

The five quilts I donated to Project Linus today, all roughly 39"x40". Three are mermaid and pirate ship themed, using the same fabrics in different positions (i.e one has the pirate ships as the center square, one has mermaids), and the other two are cat-themed.

Tote for my sister is done. I learned how to do a concealed zipper, remembered that sewing leather requires a bigger needle, and basically remembered why I quit doing them two years ago, heh. Also, never working with cotton canvas from Joann's again; that's cheap shit. #sewing #tote_making

The most recent quilt that I've finished, for those of y'all who might wonder what kind of quilting I do. This is a queen size quilt with cotton/wool blend batting and all cotton fabric and thread. #quilting
