It is funny* to me how I was reprimanded for my negativity and pushing back against mandated changes when I questioned the logic of only having internet-based phones when most of our business is conducted by phones.

TLDR: This will definitely lead to people applying for benefits losing out on money, and probably some hefty lawsuits for attorneys that know what’s up. The long version is gonna be long so let’s go.

Some 💩 went down at SSA today, and it’s not great so let’s talk about it 🫠 TLDR version: effective 7/3, 40-50% of the CSR (customer service rep) staff will be reassigned to answering the national 1800#. This decision was made without input from any regional, area, or teleservice center leadership.
