Our local tribe believed Anna’s hummingbird brought fire to our region’s original human inhabitants. An eagle sent a hummingbird to get fire from the Badger people, who wouldn’t share it. Hummingbird stole a hot ember with its long beak and it flamed up and turned the hummingbird’s throat red.🔥
