We don't talk about regional kinks enough.

In Western Australia they drink spearmint milk.

A beverage crafted in sheer defiance of God, localised solely within its borders.

Regular mint was not scathing enough. The green elixir needed the searing toothpastey flavor only spearmint could deliver.

It's a crime there aren't more rap songs about the RUBBER-TIRED METRO

It's got a poetry to it...

I know this is gonna seem petty or ridiculous but I just can't abide lake freighters

it's a lake!!! go around it! or build a bridge or something! none of this nonsense about big boats landlocked in relatively small bodies of water!

I GET TO SEE THE 4K REISSUE OF Initial D on the big screen tonight!

AHHHHHHHH!

I've seen it 14 times as a youth, but this will be the first time I've ever watched it with proper subtitles! Historically, I watched a very dodgy DVD or VCD rip which had only a half-finished fan sub.

I was 15 when my sister pointed out that my interstate aunt's Christmas gifts were, coincidentally, always things you could pickup at the airport bookstore...

When reaching out to journalists with a pitch, the trick is to relate your product to their specialty area

A very special haul from the vintage book store.

Back when a country with a tiny population hosted a big publishing industry!

Cute tidbit from when the Australian Grand Prix took place in Adelaide.

Williams requested a local brewery supply 84 litres of demineralized water for their race car's cooling needs.

Adelaide has long been famous for poor tap water, but I suspect few F1 teams ever used it anyway.

Okay, so that's a whole different car!

I do kinda see the appeal but I'd wanna pull towards a greener, less yellow green, and I can't stand the red or blue here.

It'd be beautiful in the recent BMW pale blue or the T-Cross teal I think.

My opinion only of course :P

having a hell of a time color grading this.

Left: Video in Rec. 2100 HLG. Looks rich.
Right: Video in Rec. 709. Completely flattened.

Given most of the world still runs on 709... I might be boned here.
