Lots of us visited Greenboro Station at Doors Open 2 years ago, below. And TTC Lower Bay Station is always a big draw at Halloween etc openings.

Seems when they rebuild the Ottawa bus (or rail) elevators after 20 transitway years, it requires a 3 to 6 month shut down. @chittimarco.bsky.social

Same at Heron and Riverside. The west side crossing is not signalized for peds, nor allowed. But there is a ped underpass a bit further West.

Wow, this is just as bad as Hurdman LRT bus transfer where you need to wait 59 minutes for your hourly bus. Not user-friendly.

Read the second half of @garethdennis.bsky.social book before you wish for too much privatization. Private operators have proven to be a mess on most lines and England is re-nationalizing many routes. Netherlands has its concerns w EU rail op directives too.

You can thank incoming Mayor O’Brien and his new Council for cancelling the NS LRT contract 2 decades ago. You would be riding an electrified, from Barrhaven, double track LRT for some years now!

In Ottawa, “Railways are Fixing the Future” as DEMU Line 2 provides reliable 12 minute service this afternoon thru Carleton University Campus in spite of 30+ cm of snow!

Unfortunately the track by the Civic Hospital Parking Garage is curved and accessibility requirements make platforms with a “gap” impossible. The closest they could move the Station is about 100m South under the (picture taken from) Carling bridge.

While doing the excavation for the huge Civic Hospital garage foundation, they did NOT remove the rock wall
next to TrilliumLine 2 trench between PoW (photo) and Carling, so will be huge expense / inconvenience when double tracking.
