This community feels different from other communities. I wonder why that is?
When Google+ first came out, it felt the same way, but Google decided to kill it. I wonder what's the long term goal of @bsky.app ? Are their founders active on the platform. Would love to understand their vision.

I didn't knew Barack Obama was on this app. The platform definitely feels different.
I had fun reading to some Burke Elementary students at the Chicago Public Library today. When the Obama Presidential Center opens next year, we’ll have a new branch of the library for the community to enjoy.

I see a lot of AI slop on my feed on LinkedIn. X feels like an isolated social network, and I don't want to invest too much time in any of the Meta platform, whatsApp being the only exception, sadly! This is the state of social networking for an average guy like me.

Couldn't agree more. As a soon to be indie dev, I feel it's important to scratch your own itch[1], if you can.
That way, it'll be harder to bloat your wares.
That's also, how you differentiate yourself from competitors.

Your customers job is to know the pains they feel, not the solution. That’s your job as the builder.
