Today's National Coming Out Day and while the world is scary, I stand firm that being my true self was worth the risk.

I still present masc a fair amount of the time, but more and more I find it harder to keep up the charade. Once you've seen behind the curtain it's hard to go back.

CW: Pet Loss.

Said goodbye to this little man yesterday. It was quite sudden, but the vet handled his last moments so compassionately.

You can transition in your 30s. It's pretty awesome.

So... I went to the local Renaissance Faire last weekend with a partner. Nothing too out of the ordinary, I try to go every year at least once.

But I finally worked up the nerves to go *anywhere* in a more femme outfit. Sure, the Faire is a safe, queer space, but baby steps, right?

Piercings 3, 4, and 5 in the bag. They're destined to be semi-snug rings, but for the time being, flat backs will help them heal.

I knew they were going to be more painful than my lobes, but I was surprised by how much more.

Unfortunately the top one needed two takes because the angle was off.

Not my first Pride event, but my first one being truly out. It's been a big year for me.

Time to dig into a new book!

Shout out to @imharperoneill.bsky.social for all the love poured into bringing this book to life.

For the fourth time in two years, an immediate family member has passed away. No power at home, so I did a little retail therapy with a trip to the semi-local Lego store.

I've wanted the pride set for a while, but kept putting it off. Might as well pump up the sale numbers for Pride month.

Take the fictional character quiz and post the first four you know.

Wow. Just wow. (Positive)

This Balatro run scratched that itch deep inside my soul. Love things I can scale infinitely. 🤤

This weekend I lost power for 42 hours straight. Had a lot of cleaning up to do after a pretty major storm wrecked my town. So now I'm beat.

Some photos of around town.

Missing my mom, and so I made one of our favorite dishes. These were a mainstay in our house growing up. Super simple, but the flavor came out perfectly.

It was my first time making them myself, and the self-rising flour did a bit more work than I expected, so I'd roll them thinner next time.

My Christmas Eve focaccia came out nearly perfectly. I lost a smidge of crust extracting it from the pan, but we'll just say it has more character now.

My mum loved my bread. When she took a turn for the worse in 2022, I just lost the will, and stopped.

This week, my partner of five years and I broke up. Then my dad passed away. (Oof)

For my chosen family, who insisted I come over for Christmas dinner, I'm baking bread again.

It took me forever to work up the strength, but I got photos of my pins. They're an odd point of pride for me, and I spend way more time than I'd care to admit laying them out and selecting from my pool. 😅

One is my everyday backpack, and the other is my D&D bag.

I moved back in 2021, and never really finished unpacking. Heck, I even have some stuff that was never unpacked in my last house. Going through nostalgia boxes finally, and I found my Gencon dice for each year I attended. So many feels.
