I've been lurking in the Brazil Supercluster for a while and it looks like old Facebook, mostly made of people sharing their lives (interspersed with the occasional political or porn account). Seems this website has attracted a lot of mainstream people. I wonder if it's the same in other clusters?

Every now and again, I stumble upon a normal person (usually on Bluesky rather than the other place) and I'm reminded of the fact that most people do not spend all their time thinking about AI risk, wild animal suffering, and shrimp welfare. Amazing.

It's a bit depressing that telling the truth to people will often lead them to double down on falsehood, or downright attack you. This happens even when they admit you're right.

This is crazy. What are we waiting for???
There is a human tissue that builds itself up and breaks itself down every 28 days (on average) using non-scarring wound healing and instead of studying that and learning everything we can about it we think it's gross and look for other less relevant models to understand wound healing.
