Following my headcanon about Siuan's hair going white from shock after her stilling, I wanted to reflect on women and violence in fiction, and letting brutality, age and survival mark their skin rather than enshrining their youth in death and memories

Is Siuan your favorite character in a normal way or is she your favourite character in a "life is too short not to spend an hour editing tiny Sophie Okonedo's heads on a promo poster" way?

(If you wonder how that happened, don't. Blame the old me from a few months back)

It encapsulates so well my issues with how audiences and fans engage with fiction currently

I also can't believe the show managed to take one of my favourite scenes from the book and make it even better

#WotBookSpoilers Much like Nynaeve's outfit, this raises so many questions: why does she wear a kesiera in the Waste where it would identify her so blatantly as Cairhienin? It could be TAR but still this feels very deliberate. Is the orb the Choeden Kal? Why is she training with it? How?
