for them, the deal is that in exchange for aid, they're owed a proper performance of poverty and humility that reinforces their superior position in the social hierarchy, and anything as small a preferring a condiment above one's station is an unacceptable act of defiance

Snap recipients also spend 25b at Walmart, so arguably Walmart is the largest recipient of SNAP and I’m sure a Walmart will be just fine taking a $25b revenue hit. 🤷🏼♀️

Well true, my point probably applies much less outside the US. But for fuck same can we raise the bar? Find someone in the state of Maine who *didn’t* go through a Nazi tattoo phase. There’s 1.1 million adults in Maine
