All of which is to say, good on NYC for passing 2, 3, and 4, but my god — anyone who thinks “modest streamlining & appeals process for subsidized, income-restricted housing for poor people” is radical is personally responsible for homelessness

Hilariously, the unanimous political consensus in Sacramento is this isn’t good enough. Council launched a big process to figure out what other streamlining gains we can find (hint: the big money is in the building department)

Last time I think Council even saw an apartment proposal in this town it was over a year ago, when a union managed to force an appeal on staff approval while trying to sue only to get swiftly told 9-0 to pound sand
