Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Rodney Taylor still needs our help!

He’s still locked in an ICE camp.

He’s still going without his new prosthetic legs.

He’s still facing deportation to Liberia.

He’s still having necessary disability accommodations ignored.

Please keep sharing his story. Public pressure works!
Help Rodney Taylor, a Disabled Double Amputee Being Held by ICE
Rodney has been in the country more than 40 years. He's in solitary confinement in Georgia, being denied disability accommodations and having his medical needs ignored. He must be released.

Remember Nory and her mom Estela? Here’s the devastating update.

ICE took Estela’s blood pressure meds when they deported her. She was too afraid to leave home for refills because the same gangs that beat her in Guatemala were still waiting.

She died at 45 because she didn’t have her medication.

One day after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on racial profiling, federal agents swarmed a car in Van Nuys.

Four masked agents with guns drawn yanked people out, slammed them to the ground, and pointed a weapon at a pregnant woman.

There is no justification for this. None.

ICE claims officers use a “minimum amount of force.”

This is a human rights violation.

Multiple detainees described a disturbing incident where dozens of men were forced to eat food they had been denied all day while shackled.

“We had to bend over and eat off the chairs with our mouths, like dogs,” — from a new Human Rights Watch report.

She walked out of her immigration hearing smiling — papers in hand, standing tall. She had no idea the man waiting in the hallway was ICE. No idea she was about to be detained.

This is happening inside NYC’s immigration courts. Every day. #ICE

ICE is about to get access to Medicaid records—a HIPAA violation.

Quick facts:
Undocumented immigrants don’t get full Medicaid. They only qualify for emergency care like childbirth or life-threatening treatment.

States like CA & NY offer limited coverage, but its’s state-funded, not federal.

This is patently false.

DHS has authority to question and search people coming into the country at points of entry.

But ICE may not detain and question anyone without reasonable suspicion — and certainly not based on their physical appearance alone.

This lawlessness must stop.
