It was brilliant to hear poet (and former librarian) Mike Garry perform his poem ‘Signify’ last night. Beautiful words on the impact of a teacher:

There was an incident last night! Spot the wee mousie (camouflaged in the stones) escaping at the other side of the gate. I cannot guarantee it got away but I did try to help 🤷🏼‍♀️ Naughty Marty cat!

A frosty Monday working from home with this fine chap, Fleetwood. He’s decided it’s too frosty to go outside today in his old age ❄️ I don’t blame him!

Currently working on something on the game Terra Nil: a beautiful game where you transform barren wasteland into thriving wild spaces.
My favourite feature? Once you finish restoring an area, you can choose to stay and ‘appreciate’.Thriving natural worlds and hopeful futures ☮️ ✌🏻

And here we are! PGDE pals - 15 years later. 🖤🖤

Meeting two dear friends today from my own PGDE days (2009). Thinking about how much has changed in our lives/careers and how exciting (and overwhelming!) everything felt out on that first placement 15 years ago. I even put on some heels for the occasion, so wish me luck(I’m usually a flats lassie).
