New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people

Ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee Bennie G. Thompson said in a statement “Mobile Fortify is a dangerous tool in the hands of ICE, and it puts American citizens at risk of detention and even deportation.” He also said “ICE officials have told us that an apparent biometric match by Mobile Fortify is a ‘definitive’ determination of a person’s status and that an ICE officer may ignore evidence of American citizenship—including a birth certificate—if the app says the person is an alien. ICE using a mobile biometrics app in ways its developers at CBP never intended or tested is a frightening, repugnant, and unconstitutional attack on Americans’ rights and freedoms.”

Jan. 28 2025 Xeet from JacquiDeevoy (@JacquiDeevoy): I told the nurse today that I won’t be taking pills to fix my high blood pressure but will attempt to lower it by eating healthily, not drinking alcohol and doing more exercise. I said I’d rather deal with the cause not mask the symptoms. She shook her head and told me that if my high blood pressure turns out to be hereditary, changing my diet and lifestyle will do NOTHING to help and that my blood pressure will remain high unless I take medication. I was gobsmacked. Honestly, where do they GET these people? Jan. 30 2025 Bad Medical Take Din mamma (svennebananars) posts a screenshot from Facebook: “Once upon a time, in a land not far away at all, a healthy blood pressure was thought to be 100 plus your age. That simple rule of thumb was replaced in 1977 by a cutoff of 160/95 separating ‘normal’ from high blood pressure. That number was then reduced to 140/80 and now a home reading of 130/80 is the target. Do these figures have any basis in health or are they the recommendations of BigPharma in order to sell more pills?” JacquiDeevoy (@JacquiDeevoy) replies: Yes, I know, but mine is consistently higher. I’d never experienced anything like that before. It was like being drunk but without the singing and dancing. Some minor lesions were spotted in the brain on the MRI scan but these appear to be historical. I’ll find out more tomorrow and then hopefully I can head home. Thanks again for all the love.
