Everything about him makes me angry. And doubly so because while he's being useless and embarrassing, he's allowing Seymour to run amok.

Perhaps he's sulking because we all laughed at his gumboots.
November 15, 2025 at 5:07 AM
Where even is he at the moment, do we know? (I've not been paying much attention.)
November 15, 2025 at 5:01 AM
Yes, I can imagine. Lack of options for my size is not something I have to contend with.

To the extent that I 'dress up' to go out, it very often still involves a T-shirt.

I was about to warn you about the Exclusive Brethrens, but it seems they've moved on.

That's not how it's being reported on RNZ:
'McKee was seeking a carve out for competitors to access military-style semi-automatic firearms. She's now confirmed she has failed to find coalition support for this and her party will invoke the 'agree to disagree' clause.'

So, I have learned that there was the Star Cinema at 96 Riddiford St (opposite the school), which closed in 1934 and then reopened as the Rivoli, which closed in 1965. (Then became Guy's: wellington.recollect.co.nz/nodes/view/2...).

I’ve walked past a couple times since it came down, just didn’t realise it was once a cinema. Must do some sleuthing. (My dad would have been able to tell me, were he still alive.)
November 10, 2025 at 11:32 PM
There was a cinema there?

They could at least have used three 't's.

This is not the same thing but I'm reminded of your piece from ten years ago about Google 'storifying' your photos, which seemed so sinister then (and still does); but how far the fuckery has progressed since then.

It's why I don't participate. I'm probably being unnecessarily suspicious.

Can't remember when I last had Yorkshire pudding. Loved it as a child.

To be fair, Simeon was probably about five then.

Yeah, it's no fun. And then there's the Glycoprep. But then it's all over!

For me it was an almighty thump then some wobbling. (I’m ten floors up.)

The breeze here is slightly cool but as soon as it drops it feels sticky.
