The beautiful weather and promise of summer is nice and all that but there is a large fly in my apartment and how dare it.

Duh. Accidentally turned off the power switch for my modem. At least I was still on hold with Spark when I realised and didn't have to suffer the embarrassment.

I know this is trivial and ad hominem but Jason Walls has a very annoying voice.

Credit to Hipkins for actually saying on national television that Luxon is full of himself.

That feeling of quiet embarrassment when you go to reserve a book at the library and find you already have.

Today in bushwalk adventures, a kākā twice tried to land on my head. (Mistook me in my brown cardigan for a tree, I guess.)

@pacificraft.bsky.social Did you recognise where this is?
I don't often share images, but I took this one last night. This is one of the dairies not far from my home and it's so old fashioned and wonderful. People do sit on those benches and enjoy a bit of sun in the mornings and there are lollies (sweets) on the counter just inside.
